Hello, this is John from Zoom and I am here to show you the ambisonics recording capabilities of the Zoom F8. By pairing your F8 with the Sennheiser AMBEO VR Microphone, you can finally have a complete VR audio production experience.
To enable Ambisonics mode, go to Menu, Input, select Ambisonics Mode, then select your format.
Modes include Ambisonics B FuMa, Ambisonics B AmbiX, and Ambisonics A with B Stereo Monitoring. You can also record FuMa and AmbiX in dual-channel record to make an instant backup at a lower gain setting. Combinations of FuMa, AmbiX, and Ambisonics A are available. All formats record to Poly WAV files.
When in Ambisonics mode, gains are automatically linked so you can control them with one knob. This is essential for properly monitoring and adjusting audio levels in an ambisonic recording.
Lightweight, portable, and easy to mount, the F8 and AMBEO mic combination lets you capture 360-degree audio anywhere.
